Here we are with the count down getting nearer to my favorite day of the year, Thanksgiving. Now I know everyone has their own pumpkin pie recipe, but let's spice it up so that everyone at your dinner table will take notice.  This recipe is so simple to make that you will have time left over to concentrate on other goodies that need preparing for the big day.  To see more recipe, even Tom the turkey, go to my website, www.sandiesgalley.com.

Gooey Pumpkin Dump Dessert

1 (15 oz.) can pumpkin, not the pie
1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
3 eggs, room temp.
1 c. white sugar
4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1 (18.25 oz.) pkg. French vanilla cake mix
3/4 c. butter, melted
1 1/2 c. chopped pecans

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.  Spray a 9x13 baking pan with a non-stick cooking spray.  In a large bowl, combine pumpkin, milk, eggs, sugar and spice.  Mix together with electric beater on low to medium power.  Pour into prepared pan.  Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over the top, drizzle with melted butter, and top with pecans.  Bake for 55 minutes, or until knife inserted in the middle comes out clean.  Top with whipped topping when serving.  Serves 9-12.
