Impossibly Easy Pies: Bisquick

These are all made with Bisquick and are very easy and versatile. The Bisquick mixture is the same in all but the fillings are different.

Bisquick Mixture Make Your Own Bisquick

½ C Bisquick 8 C Flour

1 C Milk 1¼ C Powdered Milk

2 Eggs ¼ C Baking Powder

¼ tsp Salt 1 Tbl Salt

1/8 tsp Pepper 2 C Shortening

Combine dry ingredients, cut in

Stir together until blended shortening until like coarse corn

meal. Store tightly covered&cool.

Fillings-A few samples:

Taco Pie-Heat Oven to 400F-Grease 9” Pie Plate

1 Lb Ground Beef

1 Medium Onion

1 Envelope Taco Seasoning

1 Can Chopped Green Chilies-4 oz

¾ C Monterey Jack or Cheddar Cheese-Shredded

o Cook Beef and Onion in skillet until meat is brown. Drain, stir in seasoning. Spread in pie plate. Pour Bisquick mixture over and bake for 25 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and bake another 2 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving. Serve with salsa or sour cream.

Mac ‘n’ Cheese Pie-Oven 400F-Greese 9” Pie Plate

1 C Elbow Macaroni-Uncooked

2 C Cheddar Cheese-Shredded

· Place uncooked Macaroni in pie plate. Sprinkle with 1¾ C Cheese. Pour Bisquick mixture over. Bake 25-30 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bake until melted. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

Ham & Swiss Pie-Oven 400F-Greese 9” Pie Plate

1½ C Fully cooked Ham-Cut into small pieces

1 C Swiss Cheese-Shredded

4 Green onions-Sliced

· Sprinkle all ingredients into pie plate. Pour Bisquick mixture over. Bake 35-40 minutes until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Serve with pineapple pieces.
