Beer Batter Bread

3 C         Flour

1 Tbl       Baking Soda

1 tsp      Salt

3 Tbl      Sugar

12 oz     Beer (room temperature)

Combine all. Grease loaf pan, bake @ 350 degrees 45 minutes or add ¾ cup more flour and fry pancake shaped individual breads.

Variations:

Add        raisins

1 Tbl        Cinnamon

1 tsp        Nutmeg

3 Tbl        more sugar         Bake

or....

1 Cup        Chopped Onion

½ tsp        Sage or Thyme

½ tsp        Basil

1 Cup        sliced Olives         Bake

Or experiment….sun dried tomatoes, grated cheese, Jalapeno peppers, ?????? Use your imagination!
