This recipe offers a new twist on an old breakfast favorite: eggs and toast. Bringing together the best of both worlds, "popeyes" are as easy as they are tasty. They also have the added bonus of conveniently adhering eggs to toast in a way that makes breakfast on a boat a breeze! Ingredients:
Step 1 Prepare bread. Cut a large circle out of the middle of the bread. 
Step 2 Heat skillet. Spray skillet with cooking spray, turn to medium-high heat, and place bread in skille Step 3 Add eggs. Crack and drop one egg into each toast hole. The egg white will spill beyond the hole somewhat, but this is fine. 
Step 4 Season. Sprinkle salt and pepper onto eggs. Step 5 Flip popeyes. After approximately 2 minutes (depending on how well-cooked you like your eggs), flip the popeyes.
Step 6 Add cheese and finish. Once you've flipped the popeyes, sprinkle cheese over cooked side. Remove from skillet once eggs are as cooked as you'd like them to be and cheese is melted. |
