preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit in a small bowl combine: 1-1/2 cups white flour 1-1/2 tablespoon baking powder pinch salt in a large bowl combine and mix well: 1/2 cup salted butter softened 1-1/2 cups hard packed brown sugar 1-1/2 eggs beaten with a fork till yellow 6 ounce can of almond paste - add last and leave a few chuncks not combined after mixing the contents of the large bowl, add the small bowl and mix the two bowls together well. add the following to the combined ingredients: 1/2 cup chocolate chips 1/2 cup walnuts drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet. makes about 40 cookies cook each tray of cookies no more than 12 minutes, remove immediately from cookie sheet and allow to cool on a plate. best to cook all of the mixture the same day - left over raw dough is not as good the next day, although it is still cooks up to be very tasty. |
